Enkhuizen, The Netherlands, May 15, 2024 – Syngenta Flowers, a global leader in the horticulture seeds industry, announced today the expansion of its presence in the Indian market with the appointment of a dedicated team of Technical Sales Managers. This strategic move underscores Syngenta Flowers' commitment to driving growth and delivering exceptional support to the rapidly growing sector of horticultural growers in India.
Strengthening leadership
Syngenta Flowers works with selected distributors to market its seeds in South Asia, but as the markets are developing, there is a strong need for technical knowledge and in-market trials. The newly appointed Technical Sales Managers will play a pivotal role in strengthening Syngenta Flowers' position as a leading provider of high-quality pot and bedding seeds in India. With their extensive expertise and industry knowledge, the team will focus on building strong partnerships with growers, distributors, and retailers, while providing tailored technical support and innovative solutions to meet the evolving needs of the market.
"We are excited to bolster our presence in the vibrant horticulture market of India," said Gautam Sangle, Key Account Manager at Syngenta Flowers. "Our new team of Technical Sales Managers reflects our dedication to serving our customers with excellence and driving sustainable growth in the region. We are confident that their expertise will enable us to further elevate our offerings and support the success of our partners in India."
Close to the grower
The first members of the Technical Sales Team have already been recruited by Mr. Sangle and the India leadership team. Mr. Anurodh Sing will be responsible for the North (Delhi area), Mr. Abhilash Singh will manage Haldwani (Uttarakhand Province of India) and Mr. Sachin Lahote will take care of Pune (Maharashtra Province of India). The Technical Sales Managers are located at the heart of India’s major flower hubs, and in their new role, each will manage the business in their respective provinces.
Growing together
Michael van Baekel, Head of Marketing APAC, shared: “This expansion will complement our existing relationships with distributors. With the establishment of this team, we see great opportunity to further support growers in growing our wide portfolio of flower products. And we aim to do this in cooperation with our valued distributors who benefit from market development as well. This Tech Team will also execute grower trials for new products and benchmark products in all key grower areas, allowing growers to see the potential of our genetics under their own circumstances like climate, daylength, soil and water use.”
Local insights for global innovation
The expansion of the technical sales team aligns with Syngenta Flowers' commitment to delivering superior products and services that empower growers to achieve their full potential. By combining global innovation with local insights, the company aims to provide tailored solutions that address the unique requirements of the Indian horticulture market.
Syngenta Flowers looks forward to the positive impact that the new team of Technical Sales Managers will bring to the Indian market, as the company continues to strengthen its position as a trusted partner for growers and stakeholders in the horticulture industry.
