Ivan presents new genetics to growers in Kaluga City

Ivan Pozdnyakov, Syngenta Flowers’ Key Account Manager for Russian speaking countries, attended the local flower exhibition in Galanthus company on April 13-14 in Kaluga city.

This event was organized by Galanthus Company with support of one of the major ornamental distributors in Russia, ASC. The event showcased a tulip exhibition and the Galanthus company invited all participants on an excursion to its production greenhouses.

More than 60 persons from over 20 flower companies visited the exhibition. Ivan presented a seminar on both days where he elaborated on Syngenta’s novelties collection of 2022. Ivan proudly sums up the key topics of his presentation: “We offer visitors many absolutely new series such as the large-flowered Begonia x hybrida Bionic. This variety is very suitable for landscape purposes. And our Zinnia marylandica Zydeco offers a fully double flower and has the largest flowers available in this segment. We are showing the first Pentas for hanging basket Beehive and many other showy novelties. Today I have a presentation of no less than 33 new varieties.”

During the discussion of the new genetics, Ivan presented useful technical recommendations for the growers, to get the best results with Syngenta genetics. The attending growers showed excitement in the latest portfolio development of Syngenta Flowers.

Syngenta is committed to grow it’s seed business in the coming years in Russia. Ivan: “We have a strong strategy, supported with a full pipeline of great genetics. I cannot wait to tell our growers what we are going to show them in the nearby future. In the marketing of new varieties for this part of the world, we are working closely together with Russian growers to trial our newest varieties under local circumstances. This way we can ensure successful product introductions year after years!”
