Spotlight on partnerships and seasonal products
Enkhuizen, 6 December 2019 - Syngenta Flowers is putting the spotlight on the best products for the winter selling season and will launch a totally new product that will give an explosion of colour in the summer. The number one breeder is working on innovative products and techniques with partners around the globe. You can see the beauty that flourishes as a result at our brand new stand during the fair.
Continuously renewing, not only in own breeding but in other areas as well. It is essential to keep offering the products our customers want. This is why Syngenta Flowers is constantly on the lookout for partnerships, this will be demonstrated during the IPM. For example, our Cyclamen portfolio has been expanded considerably with the acquisition of Varinova. The same applies for Dahlias with Verwer genetics and hobby vegetables from Floranova assortment including the Vegetalis range.
Collaboration and innovation go hand in hand at Syngenta Flowers. An example is OptiFreeze, a groundbreaking technology that significantly improves the shelf life and quality of cuttings. After extensive testing, this technology will soon be used commercially and introduced in the market. The Syngenta Flowers team is happy to explain to you in person the many benefits this has for the customer.
Innovation is also going on in existing product ranges, including the various interspecific breeding programs. During IPM, visitors can experience the difference between Pelargonium Zonale and Pelargonium Interspecific in an interactive way and the interspecific series will be expanded with a true explosion of flowers for the summer season. Another innovation is the Fairtrade Poinsettia range, highlighting the Mirage variety, which is an absolute winner thanks to the low use of GPR and the wide range of uses.
Our proven varieties, such as Imara, are also constantly being improved. Famous for the breakthrough in downy mildew resistance in Impatiens walleriana - which recently won the second Award for best product innovation and Dipladenia Rio, of which 12 new varieties have recently been released. In addition, the focal point is the range of perennials and violas.
